WalkToAirport.com is an independent travel information site that helps travelers find hotels they can reach directly from airport terminals — on foot, or on foot plus a free airport-operated people mover that functions as part of the airport's terminal-access system. We started with a simple frustration: many airport hotels advertise themselves as "close to the terminal" when the only practical way to get there is a hotel shuttle, taxi, rideshare, city bus, or public rail. This site exists to separate genuinely walkable and airport-connected options from the rest.
We list a hotel only when a traveler can realistically reach it from the terminal on foot, or on foot plus a free airport-operated people mover that is part of the airport's own terminal-access system. That means an indoor walkway, skybridge, signed sidewalk, marked pedestrian route, or a short ride on a free airport people mover such as the ATL SkyTrain or ORD Airport Transit System. If a hotel requires a hotel shuttle, taxi, rideshare, city bus, or public rail, it is not included, no matter how close it looks on a map. For each airport we review official terminal maps, airport authority pedestrian guidance, hotel location descriptions, street-level imagery, and traveler reports. We look for documented routes, not just short straight-line distances. When airport construction or hotel changes affect a route, we update the listing.
